This whole summer has been such a whirlwind! I haven't even gotten to my Disney pictures yet, but I wanted to post about our awesome time camping and boating at Yuba Lake this weekend.
We went with Justin's parents and his sister's family. When we got there Friday afternoon, it was pouring rain. Finally it stopped raining so we set up our tents. That's when the wind set in. In the middle of dinner, our big tent, with everything inside, went rolling across the campground like a giant beach ball- THAT's how strong the wind was. Insane.
It rained more off and on that evening, but we got out on the boat anyway and had a good time. Here we are coming up on this cliff face where you can see some Native American pictographs.
A close up.
Here's Jarom on flag duty.
And Kyle getting his sea legs.
We came back to camp for dinner and despite the rain, we got this beautiful sunset.
And a huge double rainbow.
This is towards the end of it, but if you look closely, you can see the outside rainbow.
Snagged this cute one of our little nephew Kalen. Handsome little guy.
The cousins brought guns. Jarom couldn't have been more excited. Here he is trying to look like a bad guy.
Pretty scary.
Three generations.
Hiding from the rain! Justin's sister Amanda with her adorable 3 week old baby, Adalyn, her 3 year old Koen, Makenzie, and her oldest (who is 5 today, actually!) Kanyon.
Love this guy.
Alright, so despite some horrendous winds and Grandpa's snoring, we all made it though the night. Had some good ole fashioned morning cuddle time in tent.
Kyle's first time camping. Is he cute or what?
We had ourselves a big breakfast and a little chess...
And got straight out on the boat! Woo hoo!
That's my man!
Girls' turn. So fun.
Three generations thing again, Jarom's turn. :)
Just relaxing with my sleepy baby.
And this is what happens when I leave my baby unattended. I went out to try wake boarding (never got up) and came back to find this picture of my 10 month old with a giant cheeto puff hanging out of his mouth! haha
More tube action. Our summer storm left some pretty rough water in the lake so the tube was the star of the day. Here's Makenzie, Justin and Kanyon.
Koen, Clayton, Kalen and Makenzie.
Babies sleeping on the boat.
Little Miss Makenzie got brave on us and wanted to try knee boarding with Dad. Not Justin's best picture, haha sorry babe.
That's better.
And they did it!
They actually went like that for a couple of minutes. And then they were done.
The end. :)
(beautiful water, eh?)
ok, p.s... in case you missed it on Facebook.. when we got home Saturday night, Makenzie was asleep in the van. Justin woke her up and told her to go down in her room and go to sleep. We started unloading the van and when we came inside, this is where we found her. The girl was wiped!
